What you will do – Essential responsibilities
- Collect and analyze supply chain data of the client using data analytics and business intelligence tools
- Analyze the current set up of the client’s supply chain based upon data analysis, interviews, site visits, workshops
- Initiate and develop potential solutions, based upon assessment of the current set-up
- Create data models of the current set up and model/simulate alternative options to quantify the costs/benefits and to develop a business case, using Python and advanced analytical tools like Optilogic
- Communicate and collaborate with clients on progress, issues and co-developing the solution
- Develop presentations/reports and present the findings of the work done to clients
- Initiate and develop new ideas in both client engagements as well as building up knowledge and supporting innovation within the BCI team
- Supporting clients in project management/implementation

You will be supporting our clients with answering questions like:
- What should the supply chain strategy be for the coming years?
- What is the optimal production and logistics footprint in terms of number, mission and geographic locations?
- Should we insource or outsource? Which 3PL to select and implement?
- What is the added value of a command center?
- What is the go-to market model for our markets?
- How to optimize the transport network and related carrier base?
- How to implement and make the transition happen?
Key in our approach is to add value to our clients across geographies by means of providing advanced data analysis combined with our strong international experience with a pragmatic attitude and the ability to implement the proposed recommendations.
What you will need
- Master degree, preferably in the field of Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering
- 0-3 years of relevant working experience (internships or first professional role in supply chain consulting are a plus)
- Excellent business analysis and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical skills, with interest and proven ability in Python programming (data analysis, modeling, or optimization)
- Passion for supply chain management
- Project management skills and experience
- Highly motivated, client service mind-set and can-do attitude
- Excellent verbal and writing communication skills in English.
- You reside and are allowed to work in the Netherlands
